  1. Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with recent, extensive and/or relevant post registration paediatric Cardiac experience.

  2. Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and influence health professionals.

  3. Demonstrated excellence in strategic planning and policy development skills including ability to use data to inform planning, evaluation, budget, and performance management.

  4. Demonstrated transformational leadership skills, strategic thinking, organisational and planning skills including the capacity to initiate and lead cultural and organisational change.

  5. Demonstrated successful experience in service planning and development of complex patient flow pathways at a similar level in an acute setting.

  6. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate with a range of stakeholders.

  7. Demonstrated high level commitment to best practice, quality improvement and innovation.

  8. Current NSW driver’s license and willingness to travel across NSW.
