  1. Bachelor of Science Degree, or higher, in Biomedical/Medical Science or an equivalent qualification with subjects relevant to pathology from a recognised tertiary institution.

  2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of instrumentation for a wide variety of analyses as used in a Core Laboratory, including use of Laboratory Information Systems.

  3. Ability to work a variety of shifts including morning, day, evening and weekends is essential.

  4. Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment whilst working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes set to meet client expectations

  6. Excellent customer service ability with demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  7. Display initiative and technical, analytical and problem solving skills.

  8. Commitment to the principles of patient safety, quality management and continuous improvement and demonstrated experience in the identification, development and implementation quality and service improvement activities
