Additional information:

  • An eligibility list may be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
Three days per week, and would be required to be on call as per Dental roster.

What you'll be doing
The Dental Services Department of the Children’s Hospital at Westmead is involved with providing full a full range of dentistry for infants, children and adolescents with special needs who are either in-patients or visiting as outpatients
The Department also provides an “ after hour’s “ emergency service. The Department is committed to making oral health an integral part of the Hospitals’ total health care service. Accordingly customer service activities are very important. Overall we are a small, busy Department that values a co-operative and friendly working environment. The Dental Assistant will be expected to work closely with Senior staff in all aspects for clinical duties and clerical practice.
  1. DAA Certificate III
  2. Extensive Dental Assisting experience.
  3. Competent Reception duties experience
  4. Abilities to implement infection control procedures/policies
  5. Ability to work after hours on call as rostered
  6. Excellent communication skills including strong written and verbal skills
  7. Experience working/communicating with special needs children
  8. Experience working in an Operating Theatre
