Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.

We are currently seeking suitably qualified Administration Officer Level 3 who has hospital experience and would be keen to work in The Appliance Centre at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. The Appliance Centre is the Equipment Loan Pool for the Hospital and the role involves admin database entry and equipment cleansing capabilities. This role is a permanent part time position, 16hrs per week. The role is for 4 x short 4hour afternoon shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Appliance Centre is closed on Public Holidays and Weekends.
What you'll be doing
As part of this busy role you will be expected to coordinate and monitor the distribution of equipment and ongoing consumables to patients who are discharged, or attend outpatient care from the Sydney Children's Hospital Network, Westmead Campus.
**You may be required to work in any facility within The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. Should this occur, reasonable notice will be provided.**
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with empathy and understanding of patient needs
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills, to effectively interact with professional and technical staff
- Evidence of extensive computer literacy and database knowledge
- Proven ability to be adaptable to changing situations, self-directed and initiative driven with a flexible attitude to work
- Demonstrated strong problem solving skills
- Demonstrated good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Record of positive contribution as a member of a team operating in a busy environment.
- Proven reliable attendance records
