Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.
Kids Rehab supports and assists children and young people with a physical disability and/or acquired brain injury to reach their full potential in all areas of development. This involves assessment, recommendations for interventions that help to restore functions, follow up review assessments and prevention strategies for problems that may occur. Kids Rehab also offers a consultative service in conjunction with the other CHW Departments to assist children and young people with Connective Tissue Dysplasia, Neuromuscular and Neurodevelopmental problems.
Kids Rehab is made up of specialised services providing inpatient, outpatient and outreach services. These services include Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Movement Disorder, Limb and Musculoskeletal, Spina Bifida/ Spinal Cord Injury and Botox Services.
The purpose of the Administration Officer Level 3 position is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the large multidisciplinary Kids Rehab team made up of Staff Specialists, Junior Medical Officers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Psychologists, Neuropsychologists, Allied Health, Research and Project officers.
