What you'll be doing
- The Heart Centre for Children, SCHN is one of the largest and busiest sub-specialty teams within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) and provides cardiac care to children of New South Wales and the surrounding regions at the; Children’s Hospital Westmead, Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and within our outreach centres.
- The Cardiac Clinical Coordinator seeks to provide administrative and customer service support for; patients, families, staff, and visitors to the Heart Centre for Children, SCHN.
- This role is responsible for the delivery of administration support for all aspects of the Heart Centre for Children, SCHN whilst maintaining a passion in the delivery of patient centred care.
- Main duties include (but are not limited to); being the first point of contact with patients and families, managing all aspects of clinical coordination, delivering quality improvement initiatives and projects, and building positive culture across the Heart Centre for Children, SCHN.
- The Cardiac Clinical Coordinator role is traditionally based at a single site, however, opportunities to work across SCHN are available. The Cardiac Clinical Coordinator support patients within all clinical locations, working remotely to ensure care is provided in the right place at the right time.
- From time to time, the Cardiac Clinical Coordinator may also be required to perform other job-related ad hoc tasks other than those specifically stated in this position description.
- The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values, and operating systems of The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network and in-line with the NSW Health's Code of Conduct.
- Experience in administration and customer service is desirable although health experience not essential. A strong focus on delivering positive patient and/or customer service experiences will be necessary.
