Trainee Medical Laboratory Scientist

1. Current enrolment in a relevant science degree (pathology or biomedical sciences with subjects relevant to pathology) with a minimum of one year full-time equivalent study to complete.
2. Willingness to learn all aspects of the laboratory environment relevant to the laboratory.
3. Demonstrated verbal and written communication and consultation skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively in a values based team environment to achieve quality outcomes.
5. Excellent data entry skills including high attention to detail and data accuracy.
6. Awareness of legislation, policies and requirements relevant to a pathology laboratory setting.
7. Willingness to work with infectious materials
