Operations Manager - Biobanking Services
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health discipline and/or extensive experience in biobanking or medical pathology at a senior level, together with a demonstrated commitment to retaining currency with market trends, technology development and performance excellence at the forefront of biobanking practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of the role of biobanking in medical research and NSW Health Pathology’s role in delivering statewide biobanking services for NSW.
- Proven leadership and management skills including capacity to manage human, financial and physical resources effectively and efficiently to ensure budget and performance targets are met.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and interact professionally with a diverse range of people at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the local implementation of strategic and organisational priorities and deliver multiple outcomes within tight timeframes while maintaining a high standard of service.
- Highly developed understanding of relevant professional standards and regulatory/compliance frameworks including ethical conduct of research, privacy and confidentiality, quality management, and accreditation
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of excellent customer service and motivating staff to deliver high quality services within the context of the NSW Health Pathology’s RITE values.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and working knowledge of relevant business software and information management systems.

This position is a permanent position. To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency. This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand Policy Directive PD2018_009 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases.
