Media Relations Manager - Newcastle or Sydney
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive senior experience in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex information into simple messages and write for a range of formats and channels.
- Advanced critical thinking, issues management and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of developing creative yet practical solutions to challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple strategic communication and engagement plans independently and simultaneously while also producing quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, liaison and coaching skills and proven experience working collaboratively with others to achieve strategic goals and quality outcomes.
- Proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a dynamic team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with demonstrated experience with digital media platforms.
- A current unencumbered driver’s licence.
