- A post graduate degree in science at least equivalent to the degree of Master of Science or PhD of an approved university, or such other qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent and who has had not less than ten years post graduate experience in an appropriate scientific field. As well as extensive experience in biobanking and a demonstrated commitment to retaining currency with market trends, technology development and performance excellence at the forefront of biobanking practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of the role of NSW Health Pathology and other key stakeholders in delivering a Statewide biobanking initiative.
- Extensive demonstrated high level experience in project management and the implementation of projects, frameworks and/or initiatives at a district or Statewide level.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of quality systems and their implementation.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship management skills with a proven ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholder groups working collaboratively with others to achieve common goals and quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated office and organisational computer systems literacy and capability along with high level oral and written communication skills with extensive experience in preparing high quality written reports including project reports, business cases, briefing notes and project proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to perform role without continuous supervision, to display initiative, and collaborate and contribute within a team environment.
- Demonstrated organisational and planning skills including ability to prioritise competing tasks to meet deadlines and achieve project targets within budget.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2018_009 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases. All new recruits must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy.
