  1. Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
  2. Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  5. Extensive understanding of transfusion medicine and current practice
  6. Extensive knowledge of good clinical practice, policies and procedure
  7. Proven ability to consult, review, and develop, both new and existing policies and procedures within the relevant speciality
  8. Computer skills including word processing, presentation, spread sheet applications and clinical information systems

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases

This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2018_009 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases. All new recruits must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. New recruits must provide evidence against specified diseases and comply with the requirements of this policy at their own cost prior to appointment.
