- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in a Pathology or Health Service with the proven ability to effectively monitor and interpret the 'industry landscape' and effectively plan to meet the challenges anticipated as a result.
- High level experience demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, an ability to direct organisational change and effectively motivate and develop staff.
- Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources effectively and efficiently to ensure budget and performance targets are met.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and refine strategic relationships both within Health Service and external to the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage projects to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to successfully lead the local implementation of strategic priorities whilst maintaining a commitment to service delivery, evidence based practice and continuous improvement in the quality of all aspects of delivery.
- Proven capacity to build effective management teams and support skill/capacity development where needed.
