About the opportunity
Are you an experienced Project Manager ready to make a tangible impact in healthcare? At NSW Health Pathology, we are creating better health and justice systems. We are currently undertaking our largest digital health transformation initiative to date, which will improve the way we provide patient care, as well as how we provide forensic and analytical science services to help solve crimes.
We are seeking a strategic and outcomes-driven professional to lead the planning and delivery of complex technical and service delivery projects that directly enhance patient care across the state. In this pivotal role, you’ll work alongside senior stakeholders—including the Program Manager, Program Director, CIO, and clinical leaders—to deliver high-priority initiatives on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your leadership will shape innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions that drive sustainable change in a dynamic healthcare environment.

What you'll be doing

- Demonstrated experience managing medium to complex technical projects in large multifaceted organisation, with project management qualifications or equivalent. This includes delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards while maintaining scope
- Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information, exercise independent judgment in a dynamic policy environment, prepare and present reports, and develop creative, business-focused solutions
- Demonstrated organisational skills with experience in high-volume, demanding environments with ability to prioritise, multitask, achieve business goals, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with experience engaging and influencing stakeholders and customers to achieve optimal business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines both independently and in a team setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders, including IT and Health professionals, and facilitating client meetings and workshops
- Proven proficiency in office productivity and project management software, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Visio, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and ServiceNow.
