Join NSW Health Pathology as a Point of Care Product and Customer Support Officer

We’re looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our team at Dubbo Base Hospital in a permanent, full-time role from Monday to Friday. As a Point of Care (PoCT) Product and Customer Support Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting frontline healthcare by ensuring the seamless operation of PoCT devices across a range of clinical settings.

Based within the Pathology department, you’ll provide hands-on technical support, manage equipment and inventory, and help maintain high standards of service reliability. You’ll also work closely with clinicians, medical staff, and other stakeholders to deliver outstanding customer support and ensure the accuracy of PoCT data and reporting.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in a healthcare environment or with qualifications in science, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and is committed to upholding quality standards in diagnostic services.

What you'll be doing

To work as part of a dynamic team providing support to the Point of Care Testing (PoCT) coordinators, laboratory and clinical staff, in NSW Health hospitals across metropolitan and regional NSW.  

In this role you will provide administrative support within the team, with interested applicants able to expand their skills in training delivery and technical support, under the supervision of PoCT Coordinators.

The PoCT team has a patient focused approach, with the goal of developing individual team members to form and contribute from their unique interests.

    1. Experience in customer service or administrative positions.
    2. Demonstrated experience in supporting customers and providing high level customer service skills.
    3. Demonstrated experience in a Pathology department with knowledge of laboratory information systems.
    4. Demonstrated problem solving skills, combined with the ability to investigate and escalate problems where identified.
    5. High level interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with multiple stake holders.
    6. Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills with a desire to provide excellent customer service.
    7. Demonstrated high level of PC skills, including being able to use programs like word processing and spread sheets and/or specialist application/software.
    8. Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles.
