ABOUT THE ROLE

NSW Ambulance is seeking a dynamic individual where you will be contributing to the rehabilitation and recovery for workers who are recovering from non-work related injuries and health conditions. The position focuses on facilitating communication and support for injured workers to help them return to work in a safe and efficient manner. The role also provides advice, involves coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that employees wellbeing is prioritized throughout their recovery journey. ABOUT YOU

 

To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and attributes:

  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • A mature approach to be able to interact co-operatively with treatment providers, management and stakeholders at all organisational levels to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Develop, implement and monitor recover at work plans for non-work related injured or ill employees in line with medical advice.
  • Communicate regularly with NSW Ambulance Management teams and stakeholders to determine ongoing fitness for work, including facilitating the necessary medical and fitness for work information to assist in decision making as required.
  • Assist in promoting recovery at work and the health benefits of work to managers and supervisors, and attend sector, division and unit meetings where required.
  • Maintain a confidential case notes database to ensure all relevant documentation relating to a non work related injured or ill employee is up to date, correct and their privacy is maintained. This includes extracting relevant information from the database to provide accurate information on case management and case status as required.
