ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the Industrial Relations Unit, you will use your Highly developed knowledge of the full range of NSW Ambulance operations including clinical compliance and governance requirements, and the ability to make operational recommendations in an industrial context understanding of the role of Government and the union, as well as your experience in employment law or industrial relations to provide pivotal expert, strategic advice and Industrial Relations services to all Divisions of NSW Ambulance across the state. You will also Manage allocated industrial relations aspects of improvement projects and workplace initiatives for NSW Ambulance. Advocate and instruct in proceedings in the Industrial Relations Commission on behalf of, and in accordance with, the requirements of NSW Ambulance. Resolve industrial relations issues and disputes and provide high level support to the Director Industrial Relations and industrial relations advice to the Executive Directors, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Executive, on industrial relations projects and matters

ABOUT YOU
Your operational experience will be key in showcasing your demonstrated knowledge and understanding of industrial relations systems and policies impacting on NSW Ambulance and NSW public health system. You will use your excellent oral and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills to provide advice and support to frontline managers to facilitate understanding of employee relations policies and procedures while establishing and maintaining effective relationships with staff in People & Culture to encourage a holistic and shared approach to HR/IR/Equity/safety and associated services.
You will utilise your familiarity with and observance of operating requirements and models and how changes will impact the operating environment; achieving project deadlines and program milestones to the required standards and targets; maintaining familiarity with a range of current research, policy and initiatives impacting on the industrial relations within Ambulance, so that projects and policy advice reflect current knowledge and best practice; keeping up with developments concerning Government, Health and NSW Ambulance
operational policies and initiatives that impact on the work of the Unit.
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industrial relations experience in a complex environment a long with demonstrated capacity to develop and implement major industrial relations projects and issues while performing under pressure and high workloads.
This is a temporary full-time position for a period of up to 24 months with possible extension. This position is based in our State Operations Centre (SOC) Sydney Olympic Park.
