ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager Occupational Violence Prevention (MOVP) plays a critical role in leading and implementing strategies to prevent and mitigate occupational violence within the NSW Ambulance Service. This position will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs and policies aimed at protecting the safety and well-being of paramedics and all operational staff who face the risk of occupational violence in the course of their duties. The MOVP will also collaborate closely with leadership, frontline staff, union representatives, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive, proactive approach to managing and reducing the impact of occupational violence.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following experience and attributes:

  • Extensive experience in managing occupational violence risks (or a similar field), with a track record of developing and implementing prevention strategies in high-pressure, frontline service environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cultural change, build trusted relationships, and support staff wellbeing in challenging operational contexts.
  • Resilient, analytical, and solutions-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement, staff safety, and evidence-based practice in violence prevention.
