ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible to the Senior Manager Aeromedical Control Centre, the Nurse Manager – Grade 3 Aeromedical Control Centre is responsible for the management of nursing personnel and the coordination and management of clinical relationships with an extensive group of stakeholders. The Nurse Manager – Grade 3 works as part of the team to support clinical staff in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of integrated clinical care systems, ensuring clinical oversight for patients being transported is safe, well-managed and of the highest quality.
This position is also responsible for a broad range of Nursing matters, including professional standards and practice, workforce, and nursing and/or midwifery workload. The Nurse Manager ACC will work with the Senior Manager Aeromedical Control Centre to assist in achieving relevant strategic and professional outcomes related to nursing and midwifery.
Responsibilities include the coordination of patient services and liaising with health care stakeholders to facilitate the provision of service delivery. This includes the implementation of health service policy, dissemination of information to all personnel, monitoring of supplies and equipment. Responsibilities also include the supervision of nursing activities such as rosters, scheduling of staff to attend training, appraisals, and the development of current and future nursing practices in conjunction with the Director of Aeromedical Clinical Operations, Associate Director Fixed Wing Operations, Senior Manager Aeromedical Control Centre and the Nurse Educator.

ABOUT YOU

- Demonstrated ability to identify practice gaps in service delivery and devise innovative, evidence informed strategies to address these.
- Analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis.
- Proven ability to prioritise, manage expectations, proactively make recommendations, and manage risk.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to engage, enable and manage teams.
- Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimisation and practice development.
