ABOUT THE ROLE

The Associate Director Finance Business Partnering is responsible for leading a team that effectively partners with each internal customer group in the NSW Ambulance (NSWA) through: Provision of decision support and value-add service; provision of reliable, timely and sophisticated Finance analysis; effective engagement and collaborations with cost centre owners to support them in meeting financial and budgetary objectives; collaborative development and analysis of budgets and the preparation of timely and relevant management accounting data, reports and advice to internal and external stakeholders. The position holder is responsible for coordinating the operations of business partnering and management accounting function, including preparation and monitoring of recurrent budgets, monitoring of capital budgets; forward estimates and financial forecasting; cash flow analysis and the reporting of management accounting information to internal and external stakeholders.

The Associate Director Finance Business Partnering has a holistic understanding of interrelated finance activities and works with the relevant stakeholders to solve complex financial issues encountered within the NSWA, providing high quality service and financial advice to internal customers.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:

  • You are a highly skilled and experienced finance professional, CA or CPA qualified, with a strong background in finance business partnering, budgeting and forecasting.
  • You have exceptional communication and stakeholder advisory skills and are someone who values integrity, transparency, and collaboration. 
  • You believe in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.
  • You have proven team leadership experience and thrive in high-pressure environments.
