What you'll be doing
This position is responsible for the coordination of administrative services within allocated areas and also to ensure the high level administrative support is allocated for the designated departments throughout the service.

This position must ensure that both frontline and secretarial staff are delivering high quality administrative services in a customer focused manner and in accordance with Hospital and departmental policies.

This role involves the oversight supervision of administrative services whilst also providing support to Clinicians, nursing staff, revenue and other senior admininistration officers.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level senior executive support in a busy work environment with heavy workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, include confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels. Well developed customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to manage staff, through leadership and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated skills with advanced knowledge in relation to pay enquiries for relevant staff, staff leave management, rostering of administration staff to meet the needs of the department.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to work under minimal supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience producing high executive level reports and policies for submission as well as experience in writing reports at senior executive level.
