Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is looking for 2 Sterilisation Technician (Grade 2) Temporary Fulltime/Part-time for Maternity Cover Until 16 March 2026 to join our dedicated team.

Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital Sterilising Services Department

What you'll be doing
The reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices (RMD’s) used in Health Services Organisations, (HSO’s) adhering to AS 5369/2023. The primary purpose of the position is to provide sterile and thermally disinfected medical and surgical equipment to all areas for use in patient care and in accordance with policies and procedures developed by SSD Management.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Completion of an accredited Certificate in Sterilisation Technology at TAFE.
  2. Experience in a sterilising department environment.
  3. Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen and undertake direction.
  4. Ability to function harmoniously within a team environment.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Workplace Health & Safety, and principles of Infection Control.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of patients and staff, at all times.
  7. Willingness to work in a computerised environment.
