Statewide infant Screening Hearing (SWISH) Administration Officer
The Statewide Infant Screening – Hearing (SWISH) Program has a temporary part-time, job share Administration Officer Level 3 position available. You will share this position with the existing SWISH Administration Officer, to support the Newborn Hearing Screeners and Manager until 12 January 2026. The successful applicant will be required to work one day per week, consisting of 7 hours. The day of the week may be negotiable depending on service requirements. Please indicate in your application which day would be ideal out of Monday, Wednesday or Friday. There may be the opportunity to increase this temporary position to 20 hours per week in the future. Interviews will be held in early August 2025.

What you'll be doing
The position supports the SWISH Manager in operational tasks and procedures to ensure that the program meets its key performance indicators. The Administrative Officer will provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the SWISH team under direction of the Manager. The Administrative Officer will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. The role also consists of coordinating the day to day operations of the SWISH department when the Manager is off-site or away for short periods.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrates ability to prioritise, troubleshoot and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the use of database creation and maintenance, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, Internet and email.
- Willingness to learn to use the applications and systems used within the health system.
