Social Work Health Professional Educator
Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) Social Work Department is seeking a temporary full time Health Professional Educator (Level 5) to lead the education programs for social workers and social work students. The role is also responsible for providing a Social Work service to the NSLHD Menopause Hub. This fantastic short-term opportunity is for a 6-month period.

What you'll be doing
The Health Professional Educator (Social Work) is responsible for the promotion, design, development, delivery and evaluation of education programs to both Social Workers and Social Work students within RNSH Social Work Department.
This includes continuing professional education, new graduate orientation and general staff development courses aimed at building capacity of Social Work clinicians to provide excellence in clinical care and excellence in entry level clinical training to Social Work students.
The Health Professional Educator will be required to participate in and promote quality improvement activities and the development and implementation of research activities.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers with a minimum of five years post graduate social work clinical practice.
- Extensive clinical social work experience in a health setting including working with patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of education and research programs for social workers.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating and evaluating social work field education.
- Experience in the application of adult learning principles in continuing professional development and field education.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of social work students and clinical staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence Based Practice and the development and implementation of research skills. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with advanced report writing and computer skills.
