An exciting position for a senior physiotherapist to further skills in neuromuscular and neurogenetic conditions, in close collaboration with the medical and nursing team, to improve clinical patient management and also through clinical trials and research.

Where you'll be working

Neurogenetics and Neuromuscular Clinics, Dept of Neurology, Royal North Shore Hospital

What you'll be doing
To develop specialised knowledge in neuromuscular and neurogenetics conditions as part of a team of nurses and doctors that facilitates patients' clinical assessments and advice, in collaboration with other allied health teams; and to assist with outcome measurements in clinical trials and research; with opportunities to learn, further develop and present own and team’s research.


People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Bachelor or post graduate degree in Physiotherapy and eligibility for Registration with Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Physiotherapist or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
  3. Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical and service consultation.
  4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders; written reports and submissions, and conference and seminar presentations.
