Occupational Therapy Paediatric Team at Royal North Shore Hospital St Leonards within the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).
What you'll be doing
You will be a senior within the Occupational Therapy (OT) Paediatric Team responsible to the Paediatric OT Team Senior. The team covers the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the NICU follow up outpatient program, children's ward, maternity ward and the paediatric outpatient program. You will have extensive clinical experience in inpatients and /or outpatients and high-level clinical reasoning skills so as to manage the diverse caseload and support/teach level 1/ 2 clinicians and students. Team members are part of the wider OT department at RNSH and participate in the professional development, weekend roster and student unit program.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.
- Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current occupational therapy paediatric practice in inpatients and/our outpatients. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
