- A graduate or higher degree qualification with a background in research methodology and/or medical ethics or equivalent experience in a relevant field or a combination; also a demonstrated experience in using office computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Experience with Data Management activities would be preferred.
- Proven ability to work at a senior level with senior researchers, academic leaders, administrators, and representatives of other government,non-government agencies, hospitals and universities
- Demonstrated experience in research policy development and implementation, preferably gained in a research ethics or similar environment
- Demonstrated high level of conflict resolution, negotiation and effective communication skills with proven experience in preparation of briefing papers, reports and correspondence
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve results either independently or as part of a team including resource management, problem solving, organisation analytical and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the health and medical research administration environment including managing research relating activities such as ethical reviews and the administration of committees.
