Where you'll be working
Macquarie Hospital is a 195-bed mental health facility, offering acute admission services and non-acute recovery/rehabilitation services for adults who have a mental illness/disorder and who are referred from across the Northern Sydney Local Health District. Hospital Acute and Recovery Units are supported by a diverse range of Day Programs providing social, educational, prevocational and activity programs for inpatients and eligible outpatients.
What you'll be doing
As the Manager, you will be leading a dedicated multidisciplinary rehabilitation program team, driving a transformational recovery-focused service that sets the standard for excellence. You will create an engaging and holistic environment that empowers consumers to lead vibrant, fulfilling lives. You'll forge strong partnerships among team members and stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach to individual recovery goals.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of all aspects of the Rehabilitation Program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, integrated services tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals.
- Inspire your team by modelling contemporary leadership practices and fostering effective communication. Develop local processes and accountability measures that elevate service delivery.
- Lead the charge in promoting consumer involvement through co-design principles, ensuring that service planning and evaluation are genuinely reflective of their needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring service outcomes and actively responding to feedback from stakeholders. Your insights will drive meaningful enhancements.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration in Nursing or Occupational Therapy with extensive relevant post registration experience. Occupational Therapists must have experience as Level 2 or equivalent.
- Proven ability to provide clinical supervision, inspire teams, and drive ambitious service and organizational goals
- Communication skills for effective liaison with clinicians, managers, staff, and other key stakeholders.
- Passion for consumer-led recovery principles, experience in change management, and dedication to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence.
