Have you got recent acute renal and haemodialysis experience, then enquire about working on our Big Red Kidney Bus (BRKB). The BRKB offers a mobile dialysis service to patients, and we need experienced dialysis nurses to help provide care. The bus will travel to popular holiday locations around NSW, where each stop will be 4 to 6 weeks in duration. The service enables people on hemodialysis to have a holiday away from their normal dialysis location to visit new areas while accessing treatment on the dialysis bus (BRKB) for the length of their stay. Due to the nature of the service and the environment in which it’s provided, the role includes providing haemodialysisin an outreach type setting, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 and cleaning and maintaining the clinical environment during and at the completion of dialysis treatment. In collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will be accountable for the daily operation of the BRKB service with support from an enthusiastic team from Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) and Kidney Health Australia (KHA).

You may be interested in coming for the full 6 weeks or you may be available for less time than that – the length of commitment is negotiable. The BRKB will operate 2 treatment shifts per day, Monday to Saturday. Come and join our team if you meet the above criteria.
