Where you'll be working 
Northern Beaches Assertive Outreach Team (NBAOT) at Brookvale Community Health Centre (BCHC) 
 
What you'll be doing 
The Registered Nurse (RN) within Mental Health Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) Services leads and supports quality patient health outcomes with a focus of recovery across a range of health care settings. The RN assumes a leadership role within the nursing team supporting, coaching and leading nursing staff including Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN). The RN plans, implements and evaluates specific mental health nursing care activities that support the multidisciplinary health care team and ensures safe practice within adopted models of care. 
 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. 

 

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: 

  1. Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated, comprehensive mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience. Demonstrated experience and skills in suicide risk, assessment and management.
  3. Experience working in community mental health and a demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.
  4.  Extensive case management/care coordinator skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team setting
  6. Current NSW Drivers' licence.
  7. Proficient in working with data systems and computer skills, in particular knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
