The Home Therapies Registered Nurse provides training and support to patients requiring renal replacement therapy to enable them to carry out their treatment independently at home in the metropolitan area as well as country NSW. The incumbent will participate in the out-of-hours telephone counselling on-call roster and have the ability to be on “remote on-call” one week in four, with the ability to travel in rural and remote areas of NSW up to one week at a time. Home visits are a regular part of the home dialysis service. The incumbent may be rostered to other areas within Dialysis Services at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH).
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Previous or recent haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis experience
- Ability to be on “remote on-call” one week in four, with the ability to travel in rural and remote areas of NSW up to one week at a time.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
