Non-Graduate Health Education Officer: $31.51 - $45.57
Graduate Health Education Officer: $36.04 - $57.59

What you’ll be doing
Peer workers draw upon their own personal lived experience of mental illness, suicidal crisis and recovery to provide authentic engagement and support for people accessing mental health care. Peer workers are in a unique position to build connections and rapport with people by inspiring hope and role modelling recovery. Support includes providing individual and group peer support, assisting with goals and aspirations, help with navigating the mental health service as well as play a crucial role in individual advocacy.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Hold Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or willingness and commitment to obtain.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to consumer led recovery principles and trauma informed care.
