Royal North Shore Hospital are seeking an experienced and dynamic administrative assistant to support the Patient Flow Manager, Nurse Manager Workforce and Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery within the Nursing and Midwifery Operations Team.

Where you'll be working
Nursing and Midwifery Operations, Level 2, RNSH.

What you'll be doing

The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) within Nursing and Midwifery Operations (NaMO) at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) will work under a broad supervision of the Patient Flow Manager, Nurse Manager Workforce and Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DDONM). The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) will be providing timely and accurate administrative support and human resource related functions to the Patient Flow Unit, Nurse Manager Workforce, and support the DDONM with RNSH CSO related matters. 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or has equivalent work experience.
  2. Commitment to and previous experience in customer service.
  3. Self-motivated with ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  4. Capacity to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a dynamic team, in a high volume, demanding work environment.
  5. Excellent team skills and able to work effectively in a busy multi-skilled team environment.
  6. Demonstrated technical skills and competency in secretarial work, word processing and other systems including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with HealthRoster, ROB, Stafflink, Patient Flow Portal, and Citrix Applications would be preferred but not essential.
  7. Excellent organisational and problem solving skills, and ability to prioritise tasks.
