- Approved degree in Occupational Therapy and current professional registration with AHPRA with extensive specialist knowledge in the provision of evidence based Occupational Therapy Interventions in an inpatient mental health setting.
- Understanding of the principles of mental health recovery and demonstrated experience and skills using a collaborative, strengths based approach to the care of mental health consumers.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and professional development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and the NSW National Framework for recovery orientated mental health services (2013)
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, and written communication skills including the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers and to effectively communicate and consult with other health and community professionals and basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to contribute to the teaching and learning capacity of the team including student supervision and training and quality improvement.
- Evidence of a Class C drivers licence.
