What you'll be doing

The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is pivotal in coordinating client care processes, managing and leading a team of child and family health nurses working within a primary, community and population health context, to provide early healthcare support and intervention for families with young children.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) postgraduate qualification relevant to Child and Family Health or demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and extensive post-graduate experience relevant to child and family health nursing practice.
  2. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal communication, negotiation, problem solving and adaptability skills, supporting ability to work in a multidisciplinary, community health team environment.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead, support and manage all operational aspects of a clinical service being provided across multiple community centres.
  4. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead and implement change including new models of care and evidence-based practice designed to improve client experience and clinical outcomes.
