Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in the specialty of Orthopaedic Surgery or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Sub-specialty Fellowship Training in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery.
- Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team environment. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentorship.
- Willingness and to provide leadership in the management of complex multi-trauma admissions and act as primary Admitting Medical Officer in these cases.
- Demonstrated interest in quality improvement methodologies.
