About the Role
The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in menopause medicine and join an enthusiastic team of health professionals providing clinical services in menopause medicine through the Menopause Hub based at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). The role will provide an interesting range of clinical, teaching and research opportunities in the treatment of complex patients with health complaints related to the menopause. 
This role will have a specific focus of GP Education including (but not limited to):
  • Organising and hosting NSLHD MenoECHO sessions
  • Running minimum 2 GP education events per annum
  • Supporting referral sites with GP Education activities and as a point of contact
  • Producing an annual menopause update for clinicians
Purpose of the Position
To become a member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the wider multidisciplinary team within Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) (including nursing and midwifery staff, and emergency, medical and surgical doctors).  
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care within the Department of Gynaecology, Royal North Shore Hospital. This care will be provided within the scope of practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to theteaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and toresearch, evaluation and quality improvement activities within the District.
This position is temporary with the possibility of temporary extension based on performance, funding and need

Selection Criteria

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) or recognition as a Specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 3 months may be considered. 
  2. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  3. Working towards (i.e. enrolled in) or obtained the Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) offered by RANZCOG or equivalent.
  4. Appropriate experience to practice as a Senor Medical Practitioner in Gynaecology with a commitment to be on call for gynaecology.
  5. Demonstrable experience in management of women with health complaints related to the menopause and/or working in menopause clinics.
  6. Evidence of and commitment to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  7. Evidence of and commitment to medical education including the delivery of teaching programs.
  8. Evidence of and commitment to quality improvement methodologies.
