Where you'll be working
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Service Nutrition & Dietetics Department

What you'll be doing
The role works closely with paediatricians and paediatric allied health professionals to provide optimal care for patients and their families. The role covers inpatient admissions including patients with an eating disorder. The outpatient service provides individual and joint joint consults with other members of the MDT. The role also includes service review and development to improve the nutrition care for the patients and their families.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience in paediatrics in a NSW Health setting with a minimum as a Level 2 Dietitian.
  2. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.
  3. Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current Nutrition & Dietetic practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
