Allied Health Professional Level 1/2: $35.78 - $51.04

Psychologist: $37.40 - $55.17

Registered Nurse: $35.33 - $49.60

What you'll be doing

MHDA Declaration
Each person’s unique journey of recovery will be supported by mental health drug and alcohol (MHDA) services in a way that fosters hope, purpose and resilience.
 
MHDA Statement of Intention
The intention of the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.

Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will provide assessment, psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative, recovery approach and will be skilled at positive risk management. The role will involve managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with individuals and their significant others who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties. Liaison with a wide range of agencies is central to the role.

 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Current AHPRA registration for relevant discipline - Psychology, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.
  2. Demonstrated, comprehensive mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience. Demonstrated experience and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.
  3. Experience working in community mental health and a demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.
  4. Extensive case management/care co-ordination skills.
