What you'll be doing

The Handy Person will co-operate with other staff members to ensure that duty requirements and standards are being met and maintained.
The Handy Person will perform work on a planned and emergency basis, related to any preventative and corrective maintenance and installation, renovation and construction of buildings, plant and equipment, including the performance of peripheral and incidental tasks and assisting other staff so as to complete the whole job.
The Handy Person will complete building management systems BEIMS dockets, including work feedback, inventory and general maintenance reports.

 Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Current WHS General Induction for Construction in NSW Certificate.
  3. Ability to work with minimal supervision, to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  5.  Ability to work at heights. Ability to assist Trades and experience in plant & equipment maintenance and related building services infrastructure and/or in general grounds maintenance.
  6. Current NSW Driver's Licence.
