Applications are welcomed from experienced nurses with a passion for Gynaecological care within Women’s Health Ambulatory Care (WHAC) at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). RNSH is a tertiary referral centre for NSW. This role is Permanent Part Time: 20 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and two Fridays per month.

Where you'll be working

WHAC provides antenatal and gynaecology services in an outpatient setting. Gynaecological care is provided in oncology, colposcopy, LLETZ, minor procedure and general gynaecology clinics. A neonate clinic is held weekly. WHAC is staffed with enthusiastic clinicians and staff are welcome to take up opportunities of professional development and work in all areas. Support is provided by a Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager, an educator team, a perinatal mental health team and allied health staff.

What you'll be doing
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.


People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Evidence of current experience in an acute hospital environment, including examples of current clinical knowledge and critical thinking
  3. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  4. A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
