What you'll be doing

Getting on Track in Time (Got It!) is an evidence-based, school-based early intervention program designed to support the social and emotional development of children aged 5–8 years. Delivered in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education, the program helps children build emotional well-being and social skills through structured interventions and close partnerships with parents and teachers.

The program involves three key components:

• Small Group Interventions: Facilitating targeted group programs to support children requiring additional assistance in their social and emotional development.
• Teacher and Parent Education: Providing workshops and training to enhance adults' understanding of child development and effective behaviour management strategies.
• Collaboration with Schools: Working within school environments to ensure interventions are integrated seamlessly into the school community.

As a member of the multi-disciplinary specialist mental health team, you will be responsible for delivering the Got It! Program in partnership with local schools and NSW Education staff. This role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and professionals, experience in delivering presentations, workshops, or group-based interventions, and an ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and build strong partnerships with external stakeholders.

The program is funded under the NSW Government’s Keep Them Safe – A shared approach to child well-being and aligned to the NSW School-Link Initiative. The program is informed by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and Schools Early Action (CASEA) program, first piloted in Victoria in 2004.
