Exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join NSLHD working with The John Walsh Centre for Research and Rehabilitation.
Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 31 August 2026 (with the possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration: $37.09 - $37.94 per hour

What you'll be doing
The JWCRR Finance Officer role will provide support for financial and associated administrative matters specifically for The John Walsh Centre for Research & Rehabilitation (JWCRR).
The position will look after accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, acquittals, reporting as well as responding to enquiries from researchers in relation to financial matters for JWCRR.
The position requires a motivated and an independent worker, who can excel in a fast paced environment and has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Relevant qualifications in business, finance/accounting (or studying towards) and/or extensive relevant recent experience.
- Experience in finance or revenue, ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures and other legislation, including knowledge of the end to end finance processes and acquittals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail including demonstrated ability to present financial information in a simple and easy to access format and explain to non-finance colleagues.
