Where you'll be working
The Spinal Cord Injury Unit is an 18 bed ward that provides a statewide service within NSW. Our patients do not only have a spinal cord injury but have very complex needs which allows for staff development within a range of specialities, including respiratory, gastroenterology, urology, fertility / sexuality, skeletal and integumentary issues. We look after acute spinal cord injured patients, as well as readmission of established patients who are acutely unwell. We offer the opportunity to undertake advanced skill and knowledge development in wound assessment, tracheostomy management and a variety of ventilation modes. The unit has a great team environment which provides great support for new starters and a multi-disciplinary approach to deliver a very high standard of care. Staff are supported by an experienced team led by the NUM, CNE & CNC’s.
