The Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Unit (Brolga) is located in Hornsby. This unit provides a safe and therapeutic environment for 12–17-year-olds experiencing mental health problems. It is a great environment to work if you love working with young people and their families.

Two permanent part time positions available (0.63 FTE 24 hours per week and 0.53 FTE 20 hours per week).

Where you'll be working


Brolga Adolescent Inpatient Unit- Hornsby

What you'll be doing

The Enrolled Nurse will work with the nursing team and guided from the direction from the team leader for facilitating care for adolescents in the inpatient unit. Responsibilities include supporting patients with ADLs, medication administration, supporting therapeutic activities, Quality improvement projects and working with the allied health department for care planning and recovery focused practices.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Annual Registration – Enrolled Nurse Division 2.
  2. Nursing knowledge and skills relevant to mental health
  3. Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary mental health team.
