Health Professional (Social Worker, Counsellor Level 1 /2): $37.03 - $52.83

What you'll be doing
Provide professional clinical services demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and advanced practice skills in client engagement, effective problem-solving skills and evidence-based strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of substance users in NSLHD. This includes assessment, intake, advocacy, booking internal appointments and referral to appropriate services and agencies.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health or Nursing and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Nursing, Psychology) or eligibility for membership with the peak professional association (Social Work, Counselling).
- Utilise a toolkit of clinical skills to engage callers, assess their substance use, psychosocial and physical health needs and book them to the most appropriate D&A service.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams and within clinical guidelines to ensure expedient treatment access and contribute to treatment plans for complex clinical scenarios.
