The Director of Pharmacy at Royal North Shore Hospital is responsible for the provision of a high quality, safe, cost-effective, patient-centred pharmacy service.

What you'll be doing
The Director is responsible for ensuring that Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is provided with a high quality, safe, cost-effective, patient-centred medicines management system that is compliant with legislative requirements, NSW Health Policy Directives, National Safety and Quality Standards, and relevant guidelines and standards of practice.
The Director provides leadership and innovative, strategic and evidence-based management of the pharmacy service, engaging staff and stakeholders to ensure that the service continues to develop in line with national and international changes in practice.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA.
- Extensive experience in pharmacy practice in a tertiary referral hospital, in both management and clinical roles, as well as in initiating and leading quality improvement activities.
- Previous participation in medicine-related governance, quality & safety committees, such as drug and therapeutics committee, medication safety committee.
- Good understanding of financial management of a hospital pharmacy service.
