An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced service leader with a strong interest in and commitment to effective outcomes in asset strategy and planning to join our dedicated Finance and Corporate Services team.  

The role will bring together different strands of planning within NSLHD to provide a cohesive patient and service focused strategy to maximise campus potential and functionality.  You will need to juggle many diverse interfaces throughout the District and have exceptional communication, analytical, planning and delivery skills. You will already be a senior leader in your field, wanting a new challenge, where you can make a difference.

Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards. However there will be significant travel throughout the District to all campuses.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Director Finance and Corporate Services you will provide expert advice, counsel and recommendations on complex relationship matters to influence organisational strategy, decisions and initiatives. You will prepare briefs and support the Chief Executive in communications and response to stakeholders.

You will build relationships and provide expert stakeholder engagement and advice to influence decisions, support initiatives and communicate the performance of campus strategies.  This will include evaluating internal stakeholder satisfaction with the quality of advice, programs and initiatives related to campus strategies.

You will need to establish effective networks and partnerships to enable a common response to emerging and future issues to do with campus strategy. You will establish and sustain proactive relationships to achieve effective information sharing to ensure community engagement where required.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in campus development activities and facility planning within a large health organisation.
  3. High level analytical and evaluation skills, including the ability to critically analyse complex matters, identify potential risks and recommend solutions.
  4. Experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to large scale strategic planning projects.
  5. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, achieve objectives and deliver quality results on a range of complex projects whilst working to tight deadlines.
  6. Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal communications skills, including extensive experience in the preparation and coordination of briefing notes, reports and recommendations.
