Community Clinician, Child and Youth Mental Health Service

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Nursing to match grading of position. Clinical Psychologists must have a postgraduate Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an APAC accredited University and current registration with AHPRA. For Social Work, extensive clinical experience and eligibility for membership of AASW. Occupational Therapist must have extensive clinical experience. CNS 2 must have relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
- Relevant clinical mental health experience in a community setting which includes working with children and/or adolescents and their families.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of infant, child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.
- Demonstrated comprehensive training/qualifications and experience in providing treatment for children and adolescents affected by mental health problems, their families/carers and broader system of care through evidenced-based individual, group and parent-focused therapies such as CBT, DBT, attachment–based therapies and family therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the teaching and learning capacity of the team including student supervision and training, and quality improvement.
- Computer literacy and demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound administrative methods.
