Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS), Inpatient Unit (Brolga) at Hornsby Hospital.

What you'll be doing
To provide day-today clinical leadership, support and supervision to the allied health team in the CYMHS Inpatient Unit. To take a senior clinical role in the management of complex cases and maintain a clinical caseload which will involve direct clinical work with adolescents and their families/carers and other relevant parties.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Current full registration with AHPRA and Masters or Doctorate level post-graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years full time duration (or part-time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.
  3. Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of adolescents with high level acuity of mental health issues. Knowledge and expertise in contemporary practices in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
  4. Demonstrated clinical leadership capacity and clinical supervision skills.
  5. Experience, knowledge and skills in care planning, family engagement referral and follow up.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and refine strategic relationships.
  7. Experience in project work or service development activities, that involve planning, developing, implementing, reviewing and evaluation of new initiatives within a health service context.
  8. Current NSW Drivers License.
