Clinical Nurse Specialist - Diabetes Educator

1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrate these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.

2. Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and relevant post-graduate qualification in Diabetes Management and Education and at least 3 years minimum experience working in the area of the post graduate qualification.

3. Evidence of ability to develop, implement and evaluate education in diabetes for staff/patients/clients and carers.

4. Demonstrated ability to influence and enhance clinical practice and improve effectiveness of intervention, including introduction of evidence based practice.

5. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills including computer literacy and competency in Microsoft office applications.

6. Demonstrated ability to undertake quality improvement activities and promote an environment that encourages the application of these principles.

7. Current NSW Driver’s License.
